First of all, we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone that has come out to the tap house since we opened up on October 24th. The support from family, old friends, and members of the Pine Island community has made the first two weeks more than we even hoped for and imagined! We greatly appreciate everyone that has come in, said hi, and enjoyed a beer. It is great to finally be able to lift the curtain and show you everything we have been working on these last few years and brewing up the last year.
If you haven’t yet had a chance to come out and visit, then come on down (or up if you’re from Jersey) soon! We just tapped our Oktoberfest and loving hosting everyone on site where the beer goes directly from the fermenter to the tap, as fresh as can be! For now, the hours are from 1-7pm on Saturday and 1-5pm on Sunday.
When the taphouse isn’t open during the week, we have been busy behind the scenes brewing beer, perfecting new recipes, and taking care of all of the behind-the-scenes activities. Be sure to check out our Facebook page (Pine Island Brewing Co Facebook Page) and blog with current brews on taps and rotating specials. One of the activities we’ve been focused on is finalizing the details that went into getting us on tap at other locations! We’re happy to share that you can now drink a Pine Island IPA and Pine Island Scottish Ale at the Black Dirt Brewhouse in Florida, NY and later this week both brews will be available at Pennings Farm too! How cool is that?
What’s even cooler is that they offered their Pine Island Special (Quaker Creek Kielbasa and Pierogis on a long roll topped with sauerkraut, cheddar cheese, and creamy horseradish) for half price on the first day the beer was on tap. You could get a Pine Island Scottish Ale with the Pine Island Special…can’t get much more local than that!
Well, that’s what’s ‘on tap’ with Pine Island Brewing right now. Keep looking out for special events, like Thanksgiving Weekend Extravaganza, and feel free to send owner, Mike Kraai, an e-mail at email@example.com if you have any questions.
Until then, cheers!
